Introduction

ELECTROCON-26: Innovation, Evidence & Rehabilitation

The field of physiotherapy has undergone a remarkable transformation over the past few decades. Advances in technology, evidence-based clinical practice, and innovative rehabilitation strategies have significantly improved patient outcomes across various medical specialties. Electrotherapy, once considered a supportive treatment modality, has now become an integral component of modern physiotherapy practice. From pain management and neuromuscular rehabilitation to sports injury recovery and neurological rehabilitation, electrotherapeutic interventions continue to evolve through scientific research and technological innovation.

Recognizing the importance of continuous professional education and collaborative research, Maharashtra Institute of Physiotherapy (MIT MIP), Latur, Maharashtra, proudly presents ELECTROCON-26, the 3rd International Conference on Electrotherapy, scheduled to be held on 24th & 25th October 2026 at the institute campus in Latur, Maharashtra.

Centered around the theme “Innovation, Evidence & Rehabilitation,” ELECTROCON-26 aims to bring together leading physiotherapy professionals, academicians, researchers, clinicians, students, and healthcare innovators from India and abroad. The conference serves as an exceptional platform for exchanging knowledge, presenting scientific discoveries, learning advanced clinical techniques, and discussing the future direction of electrotherapy and rehabilitation sciences.

Over two intellectually enriching days, participants will engage with internationally renowned speakers, evidence-based scientific sessions, practical workshops, research presentations, and interactive discussions that collectively contribute to enhancing clinical competence and academic excellence.

About

About ELECTROCON

ELECTROCON is an annual international academic conference dedicated exclusively to electrotherapy and modern rehabilitation sciences. Organized by Maharashtra Institute of Physiotherapy (MIT MIP), Latur, Maharashtra, the conference has steadily established itself as one of the premier academic events in physiotherapy.

Each edition of ELECTROCON focuses on current developments, emerging technologies, clinical innovations, and evidence-based rehabilitation practices. The conference encourages interaction among educators, clinicians, postgraduate scholars, undergraduate students, and researchers who share a common objective of advancing physiotherapy practice through scientific excellence.

Since its inception, ELECTROCON has promoted interdisciplinary collaboration while emphasizing the importance of integrating research evidence into everyday clinical decision-making.

Theme

“Innovation, Evidence & Rehabilitation”

The three fundamental pillars of contemporary physiotherapy practice

Innovation

Healthcare technology continues to redefine rehabilitation. Emerging electrotherapy devices, digital rehabilitation platforms, artificial intelligence, robotics, wearable sensors, virtual reality, and biofeedback technologies are expanding the possibilities for patient care. Innovation encourages physiotherapists to embrace newer treatment modalities while improving efficiency, precision, and patient engagement.

Evidence

Modern physiotherapy is firmly rooted in evidence-based practice. Clinical decisions must be supported by high-quality scientific research, systematic reviews, randomized controlled trials, and validated clinical guidelines. ELECTROCON-26 emphasizes the importance of translating research findings into effective clinical interventions that improve patient outcomes.

Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation extends beyond symptom management. It focuses on restoring function, improving quality of life, maximizing independence, and enabling individuals to return to their daily activities. Comprehensive rehabilitation requires collaboration between healthcare professionals, patient-centered treatment planning, and the appropriate integration of therapeutic technologies.
